Martial lords are neutral - they care slightly when they don't get a fief, but don't care usually. Honorable and upstanding lords will only care about their liege's honor (a stat you get from releasing captured lords and refusing payment after bandit raid on village), and won't care if a fief goes to others. There are six types of lords: honorable, upstanding, martial, calculating, debauched, troublesome. Lords will tend to patrol around their fief in times of peace and war if no campaign is active. Lords' army sizes depend on the number of their fiefs.
